Ashtanga Yoga at SaKula

Join Allison for a 75 minute Ashtanga primer. We will be working our way through the “Half Primary” series — a sequence of postures that will be repeated each class using the Tristana method — breath, posture, and gaze. The Ashtanga yoga primary series is a vigorous sequence of posture linked by breath (vinyasa). We must first come to our asana and pranayama practice, so that our bodies and minds will be prepared to approach the other six limbs of the ancient Ashtanga method — our yoga “off the mat.”
