Hugs…from the beginning of time hugging has been something that humans have done for each other.
Hugs…from the beginning of time hugging has been something that humans have done for each other.

A gentle embrace or a bear squeeze has been part of our makeup as a species.

It is the way a mother gives love, warmth, comfort, and protection to her children.

It is a gift that is given to all of us as soon as we are born, be it by our mother, a doctor, a nurse, our father, somebody will hug us just because it is our instinct.

Since it is our instinct, we hug everything and everyone we like, love or who needs our warmth and comfort.

We are not shy to receive, ask or give it. Who does not like a hug?!

That is what I find to be so hard during this time of human isolation, not being able to hug everyone I care about, everyone that needs it.

Let us face it, hugs are a two-way form of comfort and assurance that we are here, safe and sound during this brief embrace.

We love each other and are sharing the warmth of our bodies and soul.

So, if you are alone, here is a virtual hug for you.

If you have a pet with you, just hug it with everything you have got.

If you have a loved one with you, what are you waiting for?! Hug that person NOW and do not let go!
